How to add Kick alerts to OBS

Winkom shows an alert on your stream when someone follows, subscribes, resubscribes, gifts subs or sends KICKs on Kick. Kick sends those events to Winkom through its official webhooks, and your overlay shows them in OBS. You need a Kick account, OBS Studio and about five minutes. Nothing to install.

1. Log in and open Alerts

Log in with Kick and open Alerts. Each alert type (follow, sub, resub, gifted subs, KICKs) has its own tab and its own on switch. Then pick a style (five looks, from neon to minimal) and a length. The preview at the top follows every change.

2. Copy your overlay link

Open Widgets › Overlays and press Copy link. One overlay is one link and one OBS scene: alerts and the other widgets you tick share it. A single widget can also have its own link, if you prefer one Browser source per widget.

3. In OBS: Sources → + → Browser

In OBS Studio, under Sources, click +, pick Browser and give it a name, for example “Winkom · Main”.

4. Paste the link at 1920 × 1080

2. 2Set Width 1920 and Height 1080, even if you stream at 720p: OBS scales it.
3. 3Leave “Shutdown source when not visible” off, so alerts still arrive when you switch scenes.
4. 4Click OK. The overlay is transparent: it stays invisible until something happens.

5. Send a test alert

On the Alerts page, press “Play a sample alert”. Each widget page also has a “Try it on your stream” strip with chips such as “Test a follow”. Tests carry a small TEST tag and nothing is counted. The page then tells you whether OBS showed it.

Tip · From your chat, type !test follow, !test sub, !test gift 5, !test kicks 500 or !test raid 20. Only you and your mods can use it.

The alert is cut off or tiny?

Your source is not at full size. Right-click it → Transform → Fit to screen (Ctrl+F). With Winkom for PC connected, the setup page can fix it for you.

Make the alerts yours

1. 1Write your own text per alert, with {user}, {amount} and {months}.
2. 2Set minimums, for example only KICKs from 100, or gifts from 5.
3. 3Add up to 8 variants per alert, picked at random or by amount.
4. 4Pick a pack sound, your own file, or an image, GIF or short video.
5. 5Turn on “Read aloud” to have the viewer’s message read out on KICKs.

What about raids?

Kick sends no raid event to apps. Chat alerts can spot a raid from the viewer count and a burst of new chatters, and your mods can type !raid followed by the name. Turn on Chat alerts from the Raid tab to get raid alerts.
